    We are currently working on an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Senior Risk and Credit Analyst for one of our dynamic, growing fintech clients based in Las Vegas that serves the consumer sub-prime market with alternative credit options designed to build a bridge for the underbanked.


    The Senior Analyst is responsible for the collection, extraction and analysis of data from multiple sources to assist in developing credit risk parameters. This position provides useful information and reporting which is required to support company-wide risk management objectives. Perform other assignments as required.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    • Determine current and future asset financial performance by different tranches and make recommendations for improving the product offer to maximize the portfolio’s overall profitability.
    • Assist in identifying and analyzing key causes, patterns or trends with portfolio and/or risk management and communicate those issues to management.
    • Review, analyze and evaluate business and technical system requirements; translate business requirements into technical specifications.
    • Responsible for numerous database designs and complex searching techniques used to precisely extract information from highly complex databases using SQL.
    • Define reporting and data requirements by consulting with executive team.
    • Develop and maintain complex SAS reports to provide data and analysis.


    The position will require an individual with:


    • Bachelor degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering or related area required; Advanced degree preferred (Masters, PhD).
    • Minimum 3 years of data analytics experience to include analyzing large data sets, data mining and providing consultation to stakeholders required.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience with SAS, SQL and/or other tools to perform data manipulation and analysis required.
    • Proven knowledge and expertise of SAS, SQL Server and Microsoft Office Suite required.
    • Proven knowledge in information technology and statistical analysis or computer programming (i.e. VBA, SAS, MATLAB, Python).
    • An excellent understanding of both traditional statistical modeling and/or Machine Learning techniques and algorithms: Multi-factor Regression, transition models, hazard models, clustering, ensembling, neural networks.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
    • Knowledge of banking products and services on consumer businesses like Credit Card/Auto/Mortgage business.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Subprime consumer finance experience preferred.
